Dealership user permissions
When you add or edit a staff member, you can turn permissions on or off. This page explains what each one does.
Can view cars
Section titled “Can view cars”Allows: View-only access to stock and vehicle details.
- See the car list and individual car details.
- Cannot add, edit, or delete cars, or assign staff to vehicles.
Can manage cars
Section titled “Can manage cars”Allows: Full stock and vehicle management.
- Add, edit, and manage cars (status, pricing, photos, documents, tags, Redbook details, market overlay, exports, and related features).
- Assign sales staff to specific vehicles.
- Run and manage custom reports for cars.
Does not cover: View-only access — use Can view cars for that. Lead assignment and VIN allocation to deals are controlled by lead permissions.
Can view leads
Section titled “Can view leads”Allows: View-only access to leads and lead analytics.
- See leads and lead cluster analytics.
- Cannot create leads, update them, or assign them to staff.
Can manage leads
Section titled “Can manage leads”Allows: Taking and managing leads and allocating them to staff.
- Create, view, update, and manage leads and lead clusters.
- Assign incoming leads to staff.
- Access lead analytics, SMS conversation views, and related lead features.
- Download lead and cluster data (e.g. PDF) where allowed, including credit score requests.
Can reassign leads
Section titled “Can reassign leads”Allows: Changing who is assigned to existing leads (handover to another staff member).
- When enabled: The user can reassign leads to other staff and update approval status.
- When disabled: The user can still update other lead details (e.g. status, notes) if they have Can manage leads, but cannot reassign the lead or change approval.
Only relevant for users who have Can manage leads; the option is hidden otherwise.
Can manage customers
Section titled “Can manage customers”Allows: Full access to customer and contact records.
- Create, edit, and delete contacts (customers).
- Manage deliveries and insurance policies tied to contacts.
- Without this permission, the Customers/Contacts area is hidden.
Can manage QR codes
Section titled “Can manage QR codes”Allows: Full management of QR codes and their analytics.
- Create, edit, and delete QR codes for the dealership.
- View QR code analytics (scans, usage by location or campaign).
Without this permission, the QR codes section is not available.
Can manage reviews
Section titled “Can manage reviews”Allows: Full management of dealership reviews (e.g. Google/reputation reviews).
- View, add, edit, and delete reviews.
- Assign reviews to staff, respond to reviews, and manage review-related settings.
Without this permission, the reviews section is not available.
