Two Way Email Integration

This functionality enables clients to both send and receive emails using their email address through the DealerStudio LMS. The receiving aspect is optional. Additionally, it offers the advantage of being compatible with our templating feature, which streamlines communication with leads.

This section must be carried out by an individual who has access to your company’s DNS settings. They will be required to add/modify TXT records for the purpose of email, SPF, and DKIM validation.

  1. Kindly send an email to nicolas@dealerstudio.com.au to initiate the setup of this feature. He will supply you with the necessary email, SPF, and DKIM configurations that you must incorporate into your email provider settings.

  2. After you have adjusted your email domain settings, please send Nic another email to inform him that you are prepared for the verification step. He will verify on our side that the settings are accurate.

This section must be carried out by an individual who has manager access to your company’s Dealer Studio dashboard.

  1. Navigate to the dealership email addresses section on the Dealer Studio dashboard. For example https://dashboard.dealerstudio.com.au/dealerships/great-dealership/dealership_email_addresses

  2. Once you are on the page, click the new button to generate a new dealership email address.

  3. Input email address, maintain the service as Mailjet, then check the three boxes before clicking on create.

  4. Repeat this process for every email address you wish to have accessible in the feature.

  1. Navigate to the leads page on the dashboard.

  2. Click on a lead cluster, in this example “New Vehicle”.

  3. Click on the Email Conversation tab. Added email addresses should be available in the select input. You should be able to enter a subject and message and send.

  4. If you wish to add or remove email addresses, click on the gear icon located next to the email selection input.

  5. If you wish to utilise email templates, you can simply click on the email templates button.

To receive emails, instruct the client to forward emails from the addresses they wish to include in the email conversation to:

{dealership_slug}@emails.dealerstudio.com.au

Example: motorama@emails.dealerstudio.com.au

Note: This forwarding is only for receiving customer replies. All outgoing emails must be sent through the DealerStudio platform interface.

  • This will function solely for emails configured on the dealership email addresses page
  • If the email originates from a non-existent contact, a new contact will be created using the sender’s email address
  • If a contact is not part of a lead cluster, a new lead cluster will be created

  • DNSimple
  • Cloudflare
  • GoDaddy Professional Email
